Ashwell Street was a property we stumbled across in October 2020 during lockdown. This was on Rightmove and was in a reasonably good condition for the location. On the viewing we was told by the vendor she was selling due to a break up with her husband so we knew by promising a good sale we could purchase this for a good price. This was on the market for 160k and we negotiated a good deal at 150k.

We put in planning permission to turn this into a 7 bedroom HMO (Sui-Generis) but due to a lot of objections this was rejected. We then appealed the decision and won. However due to the timing of the decision and us needing to start the build we now have 6 bedrooms but one of these bedrooms are double occupancy so this is now 6 bedrooms 7 people.
